1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using BioCanvas Studio at https://biocanvasstudio.com or our Windows desktop application, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

2. Intellectual Property & Publication Rights

• User Ownership: You retain complete intellectual property ownership over all diagrams, graphical abstracts, biological models, and scientific illustrations you compose using BioCanvas Studio.
• Academic & Commercial Journal Publication: Pro Pass subscribers are granted full, royalty-free, perpetual rights to publish exported figures in peer-reviewed journals (including Nature, Science, Cell, PNAS, Elsevier, Springer, Wiley), academic books, conference presentations, grant proposals, and commercial publications without watermarks.
• Vector Asset Library: BioCanvas Studio incorporates open-source and CC0/CC-BY vectors (including NIH BioArt). You may use these icons within your composed figures, but you may not extract raw vector icons in bulk for redistribution as a standalone icon pack or competing diagram library.

3. User Accounts and Authentication

• Access to cloud diagram synchronization and Pro features requires sign-in via Google OAuth.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account credentials.
• You agree not to use BioCanvas Studio to generate defamatory, malicious, or infringing content.

4. Subscriptions, Payments & Cancellation

• Billing: Web Pro subscriptions are billed on a recurring monthly or annual basis via Dodo Payments or Razorpay. Native Windows Desktop subscriptions are managed and billed through the Microsoft Store.
• Cancellation: You may cancel recurring subscriptions at any time via your account portal or the Microsoft Store. Upon cancellation, you retain access to Pro features until the end of the current billing cycle.
• Refunds: Digital purchases are subject to our Refund Policy.

5. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

BioCanvas Studio is provided "as is" and "as available". While we strive for 99.9% uptime and high rendering precision, BioCanvas Studio shall not be liable for any lost research data, indirect damages, or publication delays arising from software usage.
